Information About Specific Services - Ants, American cockroaches, Oriental cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, silverfish, and spiders can be controlled with an exterior pest control treatment. They will occasionally invade a house and the interior may be treated upon request at no additional charge. - Bed bugs will bite humans. Usually this will happen at night. The bed bugs will live very near their food source such as in a bed or couch. The best way to get rid of bed bugs is to actually throw away the infested furniture. If the furniture cannot be thrown away, Agent Pest Control will treat the couch or bed with liquid pesticides. The mattresses will be treated on the seams along with the box spring and bed frame. Bed bugs hide in cracks and we will treat the baseboards along the carpet areas. Dust pesticides in the walls will help prevent bed bugs from traveling to other rooms that will not be treated to prevent infestations into those rooms. - German cockroaches do not come from outside of the house, well actually they do in a different way. They are backpack bugs that will move with you when you move. German cockroaches will travel in boxes or other moving materials. So if you had German cockroaches and you move to a new place, you most likely will bring some of them along with you as well as leave some of them at your last residence. Now they are at 2 different places. Taking everything out of the cabinets will help us provide a thorough treatment for you. We will use liquid, dust, and gel pesticides to get rid of your German cockroaches. A follow up treatment is usually necessary to get rid of any new cockroaches that have hatched out of eggs since the 1st treatment. Depending on the infestation, more than 1 visit will be necessary to eliminate all the German cockroaches. - Scorpion treatments can be done during the day or night. Nighttime service is a more thorough treatment because the scorpions are outside at night. They are hiding during the day. Cockroaches also hide during the day but the residual from the pesticides will still kill them weeks later. Scorpions will not die once the pesticides dry so we go out at night and use a black light to see them and then we either step on them or spray them directly. A regular pest control treatment is recommended to keep the scorpions' food source to a minimum. - Pigeon control is usually netting off the nesting area. Once the pigeons cannot nest on the house or building, they will fly away to another suitable place of residence. Roosting pigeons keep an eye out for predators and will sit on the edges of the roofs. They will also leave once the nesting area is netted off. - Bee service is removal of all available bees and honeycomb as long as we can reach it. Once the queen is gone, the worker bees that are still alive away from the hive at the time of service will latch onto another colony after they come back and realize their queen is missing. - Wasps will be killed on contact and we will remove the wasp nest it we can reach it. - Mice and rats will be treated with traps on the inside of the house and bait stations on the outside.
